After much deliberation, I've decided to add guys to CV. There are a couple of reasons:
- It's apparent that we need more adjustability with the spinnaker pole in wire-running conditions. Gybing balls won't do, even if on adjustable tracks on the inboard of the tanks.
- Gybes can be faster and the twings are slowing them down. The crew can fly the spinnaker until the pole is being deployed on the new side if twings don't need to be pulled as well.
- Launching is faster when just grabbing the guy from the rail.

Questions:
- How should the guys be attached to the rail?
- How far forward should the guys be? Does this change geometry, etc?
- Should the purchase be on the rail or inside the tanks? How much purchase is necessary?
